Senior hamsters need: softer bedding, lower cage levels to reduce fall risk, easily accessible food and water, softer foods, and more frequent health checks. Tumours are common in older hamsters — weekly handling lets you spot lumps early.
Rabbit Lifespan Variation
Rabbits are widely misunderstood as short-lived pets. With proper care (vet-checked diet, indoor/outdoor housing, annual vaccinations, neutering), many rabbits live 8–12 years. Neutered rabbits live significantly longer than unneutered ones and are at reduced risk of reproductive cancers.
